Grant Writing Highlights
Henry Luce Foundation, Clare Boothe Luce Program
Wrote a $300,000, four-year grant providing full scholarships to four American Indian women pursuing bachelor's degrees in STEM fields. This competitive grant process required development of well-researched and concise concept paper, as well as an extensive and detailed full-length proposal, budget, budget narrative, and more. Dollar General Foundation, Adult Education & GED Programming
Developed a $100,000 program for adult education and GED programming at tribal colleges and universities. Through targeted research and creative writing, this new donor was secured with an anticipated yearly renewal and eventual program expansion. The proposal process involved coordination of a team of researchers and writers, collaboration across multiple constituencies for program development, and creation of a strategic evaluation framework.

Program Management Highlights
Embrey Family Foundation American Indian Women's Leadership Project
This four-year, $1 million pilot project took place from 2010 through 2014 and involved the participation of American Indian women at tribal colleges and universities. The program explored what leadership looks like for women in various tribal communities across the U.S.

- Managed initial administration of the program, including the application and interview process.
- Worked as an assistant to the program administrator, gaining hands-on experience in program management and evaluation.
- Created a public speaking curriculum and delivered workshops over four years of the program, providing participants with the opportunity to practice public speaking in a culturally supportive environment.
- Assisted with planning and execution of program retreats across the country, including in Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Colorado.
- Provided personal, professional, and academic mentorship and guidance for program participants.
Responding to Victims of Violent Crime
The Crime Victim Assistance Division (CVAD) administers programs that directly benefit victims of violent crime, including financial assistance, guidance for crime victim service providers, and legal representation to ensure perpetrators of violent crime are held accountable.
- Managed information and communication coordination for multiple government programs, including a crime victim compensation fund, sexual assault examination program, victim information and notification services, crisis response team, and administration of grant funding to crime victim service providers.
- Reviewed grant applications from statewide domestic violence and sexual assault service providers for state and federal government grants.
- Provided compassionate service to victims of violent crime by serving as a first contact with CVAD programming and providing direction to available services, both within and outside of the department.

Student of the Year & Tribal College Honoree Awards Program
Coca-Cola Foundation & Adolph Coors Foundation
This program provided much-deserved recognition to American Indian students at tribal colleges and universities. I oversaw development, implementation, and evaluation of this program, including drafting the grants that secured program funding, administration of program requirements, planning a recognition banquet for over 200 people, and evaluation of program impact.
